Working with BP
Rymack worked closely with BP as a consultant since 2019. Initially we advised on petrol station planning strategy and in more recent times we have been advising on their electric vehicle (EV) hub roll-out delivery plans for the UK.
Thirsk
Provision of roadside services to include BP/M&S convenience store, Costa Drive Thru, McDonalds Drive Thru and truck stop. Extensive work with Hambleton and local parish and town councils to address the needs of the community. The inclusion of a truck stop was pivotal, as the problems in the area were based on truck parking on roadside. This aspect was increased further prior to approval at committee. Overwhelming support with a 10:0 vote by councillors.
Cobalt
Provision of a BP/M&S and Costa drive thru at the entrance to the business park, adjacent to a biodiversity park. Inclusion of surface water attenuation pond to enhance biodiversity, with the support of the park and local authority.
Electric Vehicles
Advising BP Pulse on their rollout of Ultra-Fast Charge EV Hubs in the UK. BP have embraced the process of Pre-Application engagement with local authorities and community consultations…together with ecological enhancement and environmental protections including BNG.
